Double Butts also increase the cutting yield due to having no bellies where most the defects and loose grain are located. If you require large cuts for bigger products like totes, duffles, etc., we recommend whenever possible ordering a full hide. This leather being full aniline (meaning the leather is very natural with no extra finishing on the surface to hide any flaws) darker colors will better hide any areas of concern. A key skill of using full aniline leather is the ability to work less desirable areas of the hide into the less visible areas of your projects.

Modena Classic Suede is a premium suede tanned in Italy. The hides come from the alps regions of Europe. The leather cut is from the butt which is a dense area ensures a premium tight grain across the entire hide.

The leather is chrome tanned and dyed completely though with some of the most vibrant colors available. The leather is buffed with a nice soft finish for the most luxury of feels and will be a great choice for higher-end projects. The leather is a bit thicker than some suedes at 1.2-1.4mm which gives the hides a nice balance of softness and structure. This particular leather is popular for a wide range of leather goods including shoes, bags, clutches, and larger items
