Yield: High 85%+, With a natural product like leather, there can be areas with neck and back wrinkles, veins, scars, bites, loose grain, but in general this article can expect an overall high cutting area. Whole hides and sides do include bellies where there can be some loose grain. This leather being full aniline (meaning the leather is very natural with no extra finishing on the surface to hide any flaws) darker colors will better hide any areas of concern. A key skill of using full aniline leather is the ability to work less desirable areas of the hide into the less visible areas of your projects. Overall this leather has a high cutting yield

Taurillon is a special article that has become very popular in the luxury handbag world and is used by a few of the top brands. Its signature is the larger-sized pebbled grain with a full body to it. This unique pebbled grain is very regular across most of the hide, making it a great article for both larger leather products like handbags & totes but also nice for smaller goods like clutches. The leather is very durable and scratch-resistant making it great for products that see everyday use.

This article comes special from young bulls which give it a higher quality tight grain with fewer defects. It is milled for softness and the final result is a beautiful larger pebble grain texture. We get our hides from the main tannery for the luxury brands, Fontanellas and Badia (Spain). This leather is top grade with Alpine sourced hides, it is full grain and has a nice supple feel. It is easy to cut and skive. The leather is chrome-tanned and has great durability and scratch resistance. This leather is popular for watch handbags, totes, purses, clutches, and other small leather goods.

DIMENSIONS & PRICING

Full Hide (Wholehide):
- Range from 16-28 square feet. We charge a placeholder of 28 square feet and will refund at 15.49/sqft
1/2 Hide (Side):
- Range from 8-14 square feet. We charge a placeholder of 14 square feet and will refund at 16.49/sqft
Example: When you buy a Full Hide, you will be charged as a placeholder for the full 28 square feet. When we pull your order we would measure the actual square footage of your hide (25.5 sqft). We then will refund you 2.5 sqft at the refund rate (For this example lets use $20.99). A total refund would then be issued to you for 2.5 sqft x $20.99 = $52.48.
