Sully Tanning Process

Alran Sully goes through very special process taking the goatskin from a raw material and transforming it into a luxury leather article.

The first stage of the tanning involves taking the rawhide through a full vegetable tanning process. This first step produces the crust in full veg and gives it the body and firmness that it is well known for

The crust is then taken through a second tanning process for re-tanning and dying. This is done with a small amount of mineral tanning agents to achieve its unique characteristics, and designating it Combination/Hybrid Tanned. This special step along with the hand boarding and intense selection process has been key to Sully becoming the famous article it is, used by luxury brands and leather artisans.
