Our new Japanese punch boards are a great way to protect both your sharp cutting tools and your bench from excess wear. The punch boards are 1+ inch thick and have a nice durometer to them that are not too brittle and not too soft. 

One of the unique features of this board is the "grain flow" of the material that creates a unique internal web structure. This structure in the board material is pulled into the board as you punch, leaving less bumps on the surface that could damage your leather. (See picture for reference)
