FAQ

How long does approval take?

Most submissions are reviewed within 2–3 business days.

Once reviewed, you’ll receive an email confirming approval or requesting additional information if needed.

When does my tax-exempt status take effect?

Tax exemption is applied moving forward, after your account is approved.

Unfortunately, we’re unable to retroactively remove sales tax from past orders.

Do I need to be logged into my account to receive tax exemption?

Yes. To ensure tax exemption is applied correctly, please place orders while logged into the approved account tied to your exemption.

Does tax-exempt status apply to all states?

Tax exemption is state-specific and based on the documentation provided.

Orders shipped to states where exemption does not apply may still be subject to sales tax.

What documents do I need to submit?

Please upload a valid resale or tax-exempt certificate issued by your state.

If your state accepts a multistate resale certificate, that is also acceptable.

Can I submit more than one certificate?

Yes. If your business operates in multiple states, you may submit multiple certificates to cover each applicable state.

What happens if my certificate expires?

It’s your responsibility to ensure your tax-exempt documentation remains valid and up to date.

If a certificate expires, sales tax may be applied until updated documentation is provided.

Will tax exemption apply automatically to future orders?

Yes. Once your account is approved and marked tax-exempt, qualifying future orders placed under that account will not be charged sales tax.

Can I use tax-exempt purchasing for personal orders?

No. Tax exemption applies only to purchases intended for resale as part of your business. Personal purchases are not eligible.

I’m not sure if my business qualifies — what should I do?
