DS-054 The Phone Sling Digital Pattern

This is a leather pdf pattern of the Phone Sling that will fit phone size up to 16.5/8/1.5cm including any phone cover you might have on it. As an example iPhone 13 Pro Max fits very well. Smaller phones will just sit lower in the phone pocket but are well within reach. The leather template features also a card slot for up to two cards and a eyelet to attach a key fob hook to.
The final product crafted using the pattern is preferred by customers looking for light carry when running a quick errand or during relaxing walks - phone, ID/bank card and keys - no purse or bag needed.

THE PHONE SLING

Dimensions: 21/12cm (~4.8/3.75 inches)
Skill level: Advanced
Leather:
>1.4-1.6mm thickness (3.5-4 oz), medium to soft temper for the sling
>1.8-2mm thickness (4.5-5 oz) medium to stiff temper for the strap (or 5mm diameter leather cord)

****IMPORTANT****
There is no pattern or full instructions for the strap due to many possible variations of length and length adjustment options, however you will find 3 different suggestions how to make the strap on the last page of the pattern:
a) using a leather cord (fixed length)
b) using a leather strap (fixed length)
c) using a leather strap (adjustable length) with two different hardware options: metal studs or center bar buckle in a standard available size (0.5inch / 1.3cm buckle)
> Stitching holes in the pattern are 4mm from the edge (unless noted otherwise in the instructions) and spaced at 3.85mm, however illustrative in nature. You can use other spacing based on your pricking irons/stitching chisels.
