This Foldable Stitching Clam is hand made in France of beautiful French wood. The overall length is 110 cm and is very comfortable to work on.

The clam can be switched to the left or right side to match your stitching preference. The french clams are designed to rest between your legs and at an angle to give slight pressure on the jaws, holding your work in place. 

This clam you will notice the attention to detail and the precision of all the cuts. The hinge on both the jaws and the leg are strong and open and close with just the right tolerance (no too loose or sloppy, not too tight) The jaws line up nicely and give even pressure to your work. The leg has a hinge that can fold the unit up for maximum portability or to store in a safe place while you perform other tasks.
