The Palosanto skiving knife is handmade in South Korea from high quality HSS-M2 steel, known for having very few impurities and excellent edge retention. TThe blade handle is set in 4 beautiful hardwood option that will build a beautiful patina over the years of use.

The knife comes razor sharp and makes for extremely effortless skiving and cutting. TheJapanese style skiving knife style is very versatile and can be used to skive, cut leather patterns, square up ends and to make fine delicate cuts. Many Japanese artisans use this knife almost exclusively for all cutting because it is so versatile and precise.
