Ring Lizard (Varanus Salvator) is one of the most unique exotic leather articles. The Ring Lizard has a unique ring pattern scale on their back that has a beautiful symmetric look. The skins are thinner, yet extremely durable and scratch resistant, lending it to be a great for luxury leather goods.

Ring Lizard skins are smaller in size and are great for projects like

CUTS

There is currently only 1 type of cut for this article.  

• Back Cut - Which shows the belly of the skin as a large piece, showing the beautiful rectangular belly pattern

GRADING

• Grade I/II - Really Clean, minor defects (Yield 85% of the belly area)

FINISH

• Matte (Natural Matte Finish)
• Shiny (Gloss Finish)

THICKNESS & DIMENSIONS

• Thickness: 0.4-0.6mm
• Sizing: width is measured in cm across the widest part of belly area of the skin

CITES

The skins are all CITES II approved ensuring they were imported meeting all regulations and guidelines. The hides come from lizards for meat and the skin is a byproduct. At the moment we are not set up to export, we are working to make this a reality in the near future for a small fee.
