Negonda is a naturally shrunken calf leather, meaning there is no embossing. The hides come from calf in the alp regions of Europe where there are less bugs and are hand selected for the highest quality. These hides are sourced specifically for their density, ensuring a distinct deep grain in the shrinking process. One hide can lose up to 40% of its size in the shrunken tanning process. The final result is one of the highest end luxury leather articles available. A deep and large grain that can not be imitated. Running down the center of the back, Negonda will highlight its signature perpendicular veining. This veining will usually be centered on the highest end luxury handbags.  

This leather is full grain and top grade. It is slightly drier with more structure than Odessa (Togo). This particular leather is popular for highest end bags, clutches and larger items.
